Most of you know that we work together, which is where we met...however, how we met is much more entertaining. I worked part time at Century 21 while holding down a full time job teaching. Steve had just transfered to Century 21 and was getting started in sales, after being mostly in property management for years. At home, Steve's dog, Riley, was causing much havoc with the neighbors. Riley was low man on the totem pole and was being attacked daily by other dogs that belonged to Steve's roommate. The police were called and a warning was issued. Steve had to find a place for Riley to live, fast, or they were both going to be homeless. I had, in passing, mentioned to someone in the office that my kids were wanting a Beagle for Christmas, but I had never really been around Beagles, so I was asking alot of Beagle advice type questions. One evening I was at the office late and Steve, who had NEVER talked to me before (probably because I avoided him at all costs) approached me and said, "I heard you are looking for a Beagle...." And the rest is history... :)

The wedding will take place at Cross Roads Retreat and Conference Center in Chriesman, Texas. The ceremony will be at 4:30, officiated by Rev. Todd Jordan of First United Methodist Church in Caldwell. Many have asked me if it is casual or dressy....we just want you to be there! I would say dressy casual would describe what most people are wearing. For those of you who have not been to Cross Roads, there are no paved sidewalks to the chapel...so it may be a little dusty!

Funny thing happened when the invitations were printed....a client of mine was very interested in a little house on County Road 308, which is the same road that Cross Roads is on. I had been watching that house for months...so when I put the address down for Cross Roads on the invitation, I accidently put the wrong address! The address on the card is for the house I was watching....NOT the location of Cross Roads! The directions are still correct, just don't stop at 908 CR 308...the wedding is not there! It will be a few miles past that, on your Right...you will see the Cross Roads Sign, and a blue private road sign that says, Cross Road! I know...crazy
